Travelling with no money might seem an unfeasible proposition. But there is a whole another world you did not know existed. Would you like to have a peek?

The beginning of my journey dates back to June 2021. I had just recently concluded my studies in veterinary science. Being not particularly content with the choice of my profession and the general direction my life had assumed, I was in a great need for a fresh start. And in such moments of hopelessness and loss of sense of direction travelling seems to be a viable solution.

My journey in its shape and form would never happen if it was not for one key character in my story – a wandering traveller, whom I had encountered in Georgia in early 2020s. His unique ability to tell a story eloquently captivated my imagination and teleported me to places I have never been to. It made me dream! With his initiative, guidance and support it became possible to leave my past life behind and build a new one from scratch.

When the time came, I gave away all my belongings and quit my mundane job as an office worker, the sole purpose of which was my financial stability.

My mission was simple. I had to learn how to survive on very little. Also, for a modern day woman with a weak constitution it was imperative that I found ways how to navigate this men’s world and to avoid potential dangers.

It has been four and a half years since I commenced this journey. And by now, I can easily travel from Singapore all the way to Iceland with no money at all, while accounting for all my needs of food, shelter, hygiene, transportation, safety, human connection, occasional leisure activities and exploration of the countries I travel through.
